The Golden Goose and the Hungry King

An interactive, multi sensory storytelling performance for children and families, created for the Historic Royal Palaces at Kew Palace, London (2014)

I was commissioned by HRP to research, write and perform this piece based on the history of Kew Palace for their summer visitor season.

The performance interwove sections of an original historical narrative with the traditional wonder tale The Golden Goose.

The audience were immersed in the environment of the historic palace kitchens whilst experiencing the story. The performance included a range of sensory experiences, engaging the participants through touch, movement, sound, taste and smell.
